Updated on

This article covers the specific settings we use at Life.Church. We document these settings for consistency and support purposes. This article also covers network settings as well as saving the lens position settings.

These settings are not endorsed by Epson.

Please do not modify these settings without Life.Church Central Tech support!

Set IP settings

IP Info

Use the projector remote and navigate to the following menus: Network, Network Configuration, Wired LAN, and IP Settings. Ensure that DHCP is turned off and set the IP settings given to you by your AVL Support member. Notify your Support member and ask them to reset the network ARP cache.

Log in and Turn On

On the Pro Presenter computer, use the projector IP address to open the web interface for that specific projector. Click Basic Control to access the On/Off buttons. Input the login info and make sure to save the login when prompted.

Click the advanced bar at the bottom of the screen.

In the above image, the most important settings are pointed out by the arrow.

  • Beep: On
  • Sleep Mode: Off
  • A/V Mute Timer: Off

Please do not change the image color adjustments. These are specifically set per campus.

  • 4K Enhancement: WUXGA+

The image above shows the one important setting to check under Signal:

  • Image Processing: Fast2

Careful! Do not adjust the Geometry Correction. Please just note if Quick Corner is on! There will probably be a lot that have Quick Corner on.

The image above shows two settings but be careful!

  • Geometry Correction: Off
  • Volume: 0 (zero)

The image above shows the Extended 1 menu.

  • Display Background: Logo

If it's not logo, please put a note in the spreadsheet

  • Standby Confirmation: Off

The Extended 2 menu has several important settings but most of them are redundant.

  • Sleep Mode: Off
  • A/V Mute Settings:
    • Fade-In: 1.0 Sec
    • Fade-Out: 1.0 Sec
  • Beep: On

Multi-Projection is a feature we don't use; however, please check these settings.

  • Geometry Correction: Off
  • Edge Blending: Off

No changes needed to the above image, just verify there is nothing in this window. If a schedule is set up, please note it in the spreadsheet and we will look into it.

Network

Verify Network Settings.

The most important setting here is to ensure the wireless features are off.

Make sure the projector is named appropriately. If it is not, please reach out for help so we give it the correct name. Normally, the projectors ae named along the lines of BAO-Center, KLR-Left, RRN-Right, or MWC Scenic.

The above image shows the Wireless LAN settings. These should all be set to default.

  • Main Notifications: Off - immediately click the Set button to save.

This is the most important setting we need changed.

Verify these settings; they should be set to default.

Lastly, select the Apply button on the left below Others.

Above is a visual example of name and IP address.

Lens Position

Save the current lens settings

Saving Lens Settings

Epson projectors have the capability to save the lens settings such as position, zoom and shift. This is helpful because if a location reports the projector as misaligned, we can easily restore the setting that aligned correctly when last onsite.

Back home at the main menu, select the Lens Control box on the right side.

Be Careful! Do not touch any of the controls on this screen; they are specially set for each screen.

Once in the menu, you'll be taken to this screen. Select the Memory tab at the bottom.

Select the Save button.

Select the row called Memory 1

Select Ok to save the Memory.

If it saves and all is well, it will look like the image above.
