Lights are blinking on the projector

Occasionally checking the lights on the bottom of the projector once it is powered on is a good idea. These lights give you a status update and possible warning of possible future failure. This article will explain what each light indicates.

In order to accurately check the indicator lights the projector must not be only on standby but rather completely powered on.  

Lamp 1 /  Lamp 2 lights are on or blinking

If the lamp 1 / lamp 2 lights are on see below for reasons and actions steps for each.

 

Lighting in red

Reason: Indicates it is time to replace the lamp unit

Please contact the help desk to deploy a tech support engineer to replace the lamp at whatever time it's convenient at your campus.

 

 

Blinking in red once

Reason: Lamp unit is not installed.

Please contact the help desk immediately.   x3000 or 405-265-4357(HELP)

 

 

Blinking in red 3 times

Reason: Error is detected in the lamp circuit.

Turn the projector off and let it cool.  Then power it back on.  

If the same result occurs, contact the help desk.  x3000 or 405-265-4357(HELP)

FILTER indicator light is on or blinking

If the filter indicator light is on see below for reasons and actions steps for each.

The FILTER indicates the Auto Cleaning Filter (ACF) unit status.

 

Lighting in red 

Reason: The ACF (filter) unit has run out.

1. Check the STATUS of the REMAINING FILTER in PROJECTOR SETUP menu.

 

Blinking in red

The ACF (filter) unit is not installed.

1. Check the Filter compartment on the Stage left side of the unit.

2. If no problem is found or the compartment is blank, please contact the help desk at x3000 or 405-265-4357(HELP)

 

Lighting in orange

The ACF (filter) unit remains is almost to the end of it's life.

At this point the remaining use time of the ACF unit is approximately 200 hours.  200 hours is the roughly guided time.

1. Check the STATUS of the REMAINING FILTER in PROJECTOR SETUP menu.

2. Submit a ticket to get a replacement installed at support.lifechurch.tv

 

Blinking in orange

The ACF unit cannot operate properly.

1. Is foreign object blocking the filter unit operation? Is there a broken wheel in the side panel?  

Please be very careful when opening up the filter compartment.  

2. If no problems are found please contact the help desk at x3000 or 405-265-4357(HELP)

TEMP indicator light is on or blinking.

If the temp light is on see below for reasons and actions steps for each.

 

Blinking in red 

Reason: High temperature

1. Check to see if the ventilation port is blocked.

2. Is the room air temperature too high?

3. Was the temperature warning indication displayed?

4. Turn your projector off for 5 minutes and try it again.  

5. If the problem persists please contact the help desk immediately.   x3000 or 405-265-4357(HELP)

 

Blinking in red 3 times

Reason: Cooling Fan has stopped.

1. Please double check nothing is blocking the cooling processes for the projector.  The fans are on the rear of the unit.

2. If the problem persists please submit a Tech Help Desk Ticket.
