Lights are blinking on the projector

Occasionally checking the lights on the bottom of the projector after powering it on is recommended. These lights give you a status update and warning of potential future failure. This article will explain what each light indicates.

Power on the Projector.

In order to accurately check the indicator lights the projector must not only be on standby, but rather completely powered on.  

Lamp 1 / Lamp 2 lights are on or blinking

If the lamp 1 / lamp 2 lights are on, see below for reasons and action steps for each light:

 

Lighting in red

Indicates it is time to replace the lamp unit.

Please contact the help desk to request a tech support engineer to replace the lamp at whatever time it's convenient at your campus.

 

 

Blinking in red once

Reason: Lamp unit is not installed.

Please contact the help desk immediately at x3000 or 405-265-4357 (HELP).

 

 

Blinking in red 3 times

Error is detected in the lamp circuit.

Turn the projector off, let it cool down, and then power it back on.  

If the same result occurs, please contact the help desk at x3000 or 405-265-4357 (HELP).

Filter indicator light is on or blinking

If the filter indicator light is on, see below for reasons and action steps for each light:

The Filter indicates the Auto Cleaning Filter (ACF) unit status.

 

Lighting in red 

The ACF (filter) unit has run out.

1. Check the Status of the remaining filter in the Projector Setup menu.

 

Blinking in red

The ACF (filter) unit is not installed.

1. Check the Filter compartment on the Stage left side of the unit.

2. If no problem is found or the compartment is blank, please contact the help desk at x3000 or 405-265-4357 (HELP).

 

Lighting in orange

The ACF (filter) unit remains is almost at the end of it's life.

The remaining use time of the ACF unit is approximately 200 hours.

1. Check the Status of the Remaining Filter in Projector Setup menu.

2. Submit a Tech Help Desk Ticket to get a replacement installed.

 

Blinking in orange

The ACF unit cannot operate properly.

1. Check for a foreign object blocking the filter unit operation. Check and ensure the wheel in the side panel is not broken. 

Please be very careful when opening up the filter compartment.  

2. If no problems are found please contact the help desk at x3000 or 405-265-4357 (HELP).

Temperature indicator light is on or blinking.

If the temp light is on, see below for reasons and action steps for each light:

 

Blinking in red 

High temperature

1. Check and see if the ventilation port is blocked.

2. Is the room's air temperature too high?

3. Was the temperature warning indication displayed?

4. Turn the projector off for 5 minutes and try again.  

5. If the problem persists please contact the help desk immediately.   x3000 or 405-265-4357 (HELP).

 

Blinking in red 3 times

Cooling Fan has stopped.

1. Please double check nothing is blocking the cooling processes for the projector. The fans are on the rear of the unit.

2. If the problem persists please submit a Tech Help Desk Ticket.
