Loop/Konnect - Turning the system on

Updated on

The Loop and Konnect rooms are equipped with two wireless mic receivers, a sound system and lighting for moments during the experience. Here's how to power up the room so that they can be used.

1. Turn everything on!

The power system we use is called "Lyntec". Press the green ON button, or the button labeled "FIRE IT UP" - depending on your campus. This turns on the speakers, the sound board, the microphone receivers and a few parts of the video system.

Projector

Turn on the Epson Projector using the remote.

Microphones

Handheld

Power on the microphones by holding the small red button next to the antenna fin. When the mic is powered on, a small red light will illuminate next to the antenna fin and the screen on the mic will light up orange.

Headset

Power on the headset beltpack by opening the door on the front and holding the ON/OFF button. The screen on the beltpack will light up orange when it is powered up.

2. Check that things are working correctly!

Lightly talk into the mic as you turn up the corresponding volume knob.

After the mics are checked, let's navigate to the current week's content on the Roku and hit play to check the volume coming from Roku. If you are starting at the Home Screen, move over to the "LifeKids" channel and select it. Then move over to the right until you see the room that you are in, either Konnect or Loop. Once your room is selected, choose the week's message to make sure that it plays correctly.

3. Lastly, tap on any lighting cue square on the iPad to make sure that the lights are working.

4. You're all set! Now, play the pre-experience loop from Roku until the experience starts.

5. After the last experience of the day, please shut off the Projector using the same remote. Hit the Shut It Down button on the LynTec panel, then hit the "off" cue on the iPad before leaving the room.
