Linking Channels on the CL5/QL5

Updated on

If you need to link or unlink two channels, this article is for you.

Channels must be physically next to each other while NOT viewing a custom layer in order to be paired. Also, channels in the ST IN layer cannot be unlinked.

Start by hitting the select button on the channel that you would like to pair up or unpair.

Now, touch the "CH JOB" button on the touch screen of your console. This will open up the menu shown below.

Once this menu is open, touch the "CH LINK" button.

The CH LINK MODE menu will open, which is shown below. This menu shows which parameters are linked for the CURRENT SELECTED CHANNEL.

We can see which channels are linked by looking at the channel graph shown above the parameters. Channels that are linked are lit up, color coded, and letter coded so that it is easy to tell which channels are linked with which.

To link or unlink the desired channels, simply hit the select (SEL) button on the channels that you want to link AT THE SAME TIME.

To exit the menu, press X in the top right corner of the menu. All done!
