EPSON Projector Complete Settings Setup Guide

Updated on

This article covers the specific settings we use at Life.Church.  We document these settings for consistency and support purposes.   This article also covered network settings as well as saving the lens position settings.

These settings are not endorsed by EPSON.

Please do not modify these settings without Life.Church Central Tech support!

Set IP settings

Use the projector remote and navigate to the following menus: Network, network configuration, wired lan, ip settings. Ensure that DHCP is turned off and set the IP settings given to you by your AVL Support person. Notify your AVL Support person and ask to reset the network arp cache.

Network

Let's verify the network settings.

The most important setting here is that the wireless features are off.

Make sure the projector has an appropriate name.  If it does not, please reach out for help so we can name it correctly.  Normally along the lines of BAO-Center, KLR-Left, RRN-Right or MWC Scenic.

The above image shows the Wireless LAN settings.  These should all be default.

Main Notifications = Off   - immediately click the Set button to save.

This is the most important setting we need changed.

Verify these settings. They should be default.

Lastly, select the Apply button on the left below Others.

Just a visual verification of name and IP address.

Lens Position

Save the current lens settings

Saving Lens Settings

This is by far the coolest setting we can save.  EPSON allows you to save the lens settings such as position, zoom and shift.   We love this because if a location reports the projector is misaligned, we can simply restore the setting we know aligned correctly when we were onsite.

Back home at the main menu, select the Lens Control box on the right side.

Be Careful!  Don't touch any of the controls on this screen.  They are set specifically for each screen.

Once in the menu, you'll be taken to this screen.  Select the Memory tab at the bottom.

Select the Save button.

Select the row called Memory 1.

Select OK to save the Memory.

If it saved and all is well it will look like this image.

Please do not modify this with Central Tech Help.

Lastly Document

If you noticed anything out of the ordinary.  Document what you have found and ask one of the Central Tech team members to check it out.

For this specific round of settings changes, I've created a Google spreadsheet so we can track which projectors have been done.   Link here.
